ABBEY LINE Temporary Closures for upgrade work

This is important news for all passengers, especially those who make multi-mode journeys, bike-on-train, on the Abbey Line between St Albans & Watford.

Though a bus replacement service will operate in the periods of closure, I have
 confirmed that there is no facility for carrying bikes on the buses.


First closure period is  
       from 19:40 on Saturday 29 November 2014
       to      05:54 on Monday  29 December  2014
There are additional weekend closures during November (dates/times not  specified on the leaflet which I have used for reference).


Further weekend closures cited for 2015 are
      from Saturday  14 February to Monday 16 February
      from Saturday  21 February to Monday 23 February
      from Saturday    3 April        to Monday   6  April
