Bike week- events

Sunday 9th June
St Albans Farmers Market Visit the STACC stall for details of cycling events and free route maps.


Saturday 15th June St Albans Market
Visit the STACC stall for details of cycling events and free route maps. Come and make a bike print with Culture Cart, the bike-powered art printer!

Sunday 16th June Bike TryOut event
In front of the old Town Hall, St Albans 10am-4pm

It's the big event for 2013 bike week!


Come to the city centre to try out a variety of bikes on a special track laid out in front of the old Town Hall, run by Get Cycling.

Bring your children, parents grandparents and give the bikes a try-commuter bikes, cruisers, tricycles, tandems, child-trailers, folders, special needs cycles, and fun bikes.

If you're under 16 you need a  parent or guardian.

Bring your bike for a safety check -
Cycle Tech Herts will be running a Dr Bike session next to the Try A Bike and will check your bike for free.

Get your bike security marked St Albans Police will provide security bike marking at the event too.

Mon 17th June ‘Begin Here’. Introduction to family cycling.
Share news and views on how to start and where to go. An informal session with knowledgeable people at LUSH - keen to keep you and the environment in good shape - in the Maltings Shopping Arcade from 17-30 to 19-00. Drop in for a chat and a drink .

Tuesday 18th June Bikers breakfast
7.30 to 9.30 am In front of the old Town Hall, St Albans Ride your bike into town and pick up a free breakfast!


Sun 23rd June ‘Redbourn Bike Festival’
A fun day for cyclists of all ages on Redbourn Common.

Velo fete on Redbourne common followed by an elite bike race at 7pm
