STACC AGM 21 May- with the AA president giving a talk!

The STACC AGM is at 7.30 on Tusday 21st May in the council offices.

We'll be reporting on what we're doing to help provide good bike facilities in St Albans, followed by presentations from commitee member Jack Pia on what we can learn from other countries. Highlight for the evening is Edmund King, Automobile Association president and visiting professor at Newcastle University who will present a keynote address entitled “Two tribes? Promoting harmony between drivers and cyclists."

Edmund King is a local resident and keen cyclist and the AA provides a lot of support for cyclists.

Come along, listen to the speakers, tell us what you think about cycling in St Albans and what you would like to see to make it better.

Did you know that the AA's first patrols were on bicycles?
Or that the AA gave away 5,000 helmets last year?
