Mountain bike routes in Heartwood forest
Can someone publish any details of route plans for the Heartwood forest? It would be nice to see some more technical routes as well as the usual recreational routes.

Mike,
Very Good point.
Doug Nevell has been fronting our response to requirements in the forest.
I don't believe that MTB techie routes were addressed. Getting them planned before the trees go in would seem ideal.
Good legacy for generations of kids, both young & old!
Have a chat with Doug
Last Thursday Doug & I had a pleasant walk-about in Heartwood to-be-Forest guided by Woodland Trust's Louise. The site is so vast that it would seem possible to support many types of outdoor activity - providing WT's principles were sensitively observed. This I feel could be done without conflict between groups.
There's plenty on the web about WT in general & Heartwood in particular. See http://tinyurl.com/c6evbx & http://tinyurl.com/dzr538
- but don't browse for long - get out there & experience Heartwood yourselves, as often as possible.
