Council want to start a cycle campaign!
Well maybe!
The consultation document on reducing our collective carbon emmissions states:
Cycling campaign
To develop a campaign to encourage cycling through
increased awareness and improved measures:
- Planning and implementing new cycle routes
- Providing additional cycle parking
- Improving integration with public transport
- Encouraging company cycle plans

I'm sure I've seen these commitments before. Let's see them happening in reality..
There is hope... Watch the efforts of Jack Pia, former STACC member now SADC Councillor for St Peter's ward who is campaigning for cycling (and other sustainable transport) at every opportunity within the Council.
It would be good to see a clear statement of SADC cycling officer's planned tasks for 2007-08
